1989 leak question

I don't know if many or any of you at all remember, but just maybe a few weeks before 1989 was leaked, someone posted on tumblr that they had a song from 1989.
The song was strictly piano and vocals, and it was really sad.
The beginning of the song was
"4 am here i am..., wrote a song about you
4 am stuck in here, still thinking about you"
It appeared that the chorus was
"Should I keep going, going, going, until I fall?"

Does anyone know what this actually was? I'd attach the song itself but I'm not sure how to do it

I haven't even heard the clip so I don't know.

oddly enough, its an entire song, and it definitely sounds like taylor

This sounds like Taylor sometimes, but other times it doesn't haha Her lower notes definitely sound like Taylor's, but the higher notes don't, IMO. The song is pretty cool, though!

I don't see how it could possibly be her but I hadn't heard about that so I'm really curious to hear it now! The lyrics remind me of I wish you would.

Yeah, I remember it, and I managed to find it in my downloads. It did end up being fake, I believe. Like, some notes sounds like Taylor, but the vocals aren't distinctly Taylor. They are really pretty, though. Neither are the lyrics, for that matter.

Speaking of unreleased songs from 1989,I remember someone on tumblr had photos of supposed lyrics once..I think someone (Alyssa?) posted a link here, but I can't seem to find it. I'm just curious about them.

Yeah, I still have those on my site, I'm assuming they're fake but I'm still curious too.

I doubt they're real because they don't seem like something she'd write or post but it looks so much like her handwriting and doodles and supposedly her headband and a cookbook or something are in the background so who knows. She obviously didn't release it on 1989 but that makes it so no one really knows for sure. It's not like a recording where you can tell if it's her by her voice. Considering how easy it would be for anyone to write down some words in what looks like Taylor's handwriting though, I'd be very surprised if they were real.

I think it's a pretty nice song the vocals are very good and the lyrics are commendable , but I don't think it's Taylor singing. I think thats highly unlikely. The tone and style of the vocals are kinda Taylor-ish in some parts but in others they really aren't. Like, first instinct is that it doesn't sound conventionally Taylor. Her voice generally has a different tone. If you compare the memo for I Know Places or even live versions of All Too Well, her voice is different. So in conclusion, I think it's very unlikely it's Taylor.

As for the lyrics, I don't think they're Taylor's either. Firstly, they're a little too neat. You can kinda tell the person who was writing them planned to cross out certain words, and they're all in a straight line with perfect handwriting. The lyrics seem to have been written to be very conventionally Tay. Everything just seems a little too calculated, y'know? If it's real (which I kinda doubt) I don't think it'd be a song from 1989, it doesn't really match lyrically, or thematically (especially with all the talk about Nashville when she got half her inspiration from NY).

But I recall another set, written in blue, which had "TS 1989" written underneath them. Which at the time I thought was weird, but now it'd make sense... If only I could find it....

Alyssa, there's more from that supposed song that you had, which I'm now 80% sure is fake because of all the reasons I outlined above and also because she'd never post so much of a song, and I don't know who else would casually post them or how they'd get those lyrics...

Yeah, that's what I thought too. Like, it seems too country (which I suppose could've been why it was cut from the album but even still) and it looks exactly like her handwriting but it looks like her neatest handwriting like if she were writing it specifically to show someone and the doodles make me think that too and that seems odd. I compared it to a lot of examples of her handwriting old, new, messy and neat and that's the conclusion I came to. I actually see no differences in the way she writes any of her letters or the date or anything though so I will say whoever did it is a really good forger and had to have done it on purpose to look like lyrics written by her. Those other lyrics sound like they could be real though with the 1989 written under them. That seems like a weird thing for her to write under them but for those to have come out before we knew the album title, they must've been written by her! I mean, who else who would've known that at the time would even bother to do something like that?

This one is strange cuz if you compare it to the instagram pictures she had as a countdown to 1989 they weren't too different...Even the notebook and pen used seem similar. I thought it was from earlier, but the only source I can find is from February this year...

Hmm, that is strange and I would say it seems real but not if it wasn't posted before February. Who posted it?
