Hinting of Album Titles

So I saw this post on tumblr today:

Personally, I think it's a bit of a stretch to believe that Taylor was intending to tell us that the album would be called "Red" or that the next would revolve around roses, but I thought it was interesting nonetheless. What do you guys think?

I don't think she knew the title of the album already at that point, but ofcourse I can be wrong. I could also mean that she was recording red (the song) that day... so maybe she gave us a song title .
I think the roses are a bit too far. It's her birthday, so she can do whatever she likes.. If the album would be called something different, maybe not that pleasant, she would not have done that on her birthday, so I don't want to link those to immediately.
And something she posted 7 months ago isn't really convincing me.

I just saw that on TC. Someone posted that word for word. I think it's a stretch too. Roses or something with the word rose in it seems like a strange album title for her because what exactly would be the meaning? I mean, roses symbolize the same things as the color Red so I can't image the album would be as different as she says it'll be if that's the title. As far as the "clues" well a captioned picture could mean anything really about was a picture of roses from her rose themed birthday party so she was probably just being literal with that caption. The fact that Harry has a rose tattoo is interesting I guess considering they'll probably be a bunch of songs about him onthe album but it's far from concrete proof espessially since if it's new she might not even know he has it. And a flower printed shirt really? I don't that means anything unless she starts wearing flower patterns al the time. I mean, I'm not saying it's impossible because she could very well know the title of the album already as the album is ahead of schedule (Red was already written this time two years ago so she could've been hinting at it) and she does hint at things sometimes but I don't think she'd have known 7 months ago before she was really writing for it and I just think it's unlikely she'd call a whole album something like that. Maybe a song or she just likes flowers but I don't know, I never thought she'd call an album Red either and she managed to make that title into a theme so you never know I guess. I don't think it was nessisarilly a clue though just because it was on her birthday because the date of the first hint (if it even was one) could've just been coincidental. Someone else on the thread did mention though how Joni Mitchell's (who I'm 99% sure was a main infulence for The lucky one) 4th album was called Blue (and LeeAnn Rimes first album that made Taylor fall in love with country music funny enough) and her fifth album was called To the roses (which I think she could've also been referring to when she mentioned a rose garden in The lucky one) and was right in between her two most commercially successful albums. Red was really popular and seeing as Joni is clearly an inspiration of hers I do think those facts make a more convincing argument for it. I doubt she'd just completely copy her album title though so maybe it'll be similar but not the same like how she called her 4th album Red when Joni's was Blue. Eve with that though I'm not 100% convinced but we'll see I guess. We'll probably find out in another 7 or 8 months anyway when she tells us more details.

Some thing roses sounds weird for a taylor swift album, but not gonna lie, that makes for some pretty good evidence. Of course, it could just be someone looking into details Wayy too much xD

I think roses or flowers could make a appearance on her 5th album, but I don't think it'll be the title or the whole theme of the album.

I find that one theory to be a little too far fetched, but who knows! With Taylor, you really don't know what to expect

Maybe she's incorporating the meaning of "rose" in her next album, but I highly doubt that's the next album name. Maybe she just really likes roses and it's a coincidence that Harry has a rose tattoo!

I think roses might be referenced in the album, maybe quite a lot, but I don't know whether the title will be something blatantly to do with them. Tay's albums have been two adjectives and one phrase so far, and I think she has a thing for adjectives (seeing as SN was going to be Enchanted), so yeah...

I'm glad he cleared that up. I seriously doubted it anyway but I mean at this point she could still maybe change her mind about what it's called so he might not be able to say that for sure but I'm sure he'd know if she had written a song involving roses where it could be possible so I'm sure she didn't and that's why he said that. Just to clear up the rumor because it's so off. Although technicly he didn't rule out other rose related titles like roses and thorns or something that people were thinking it could be called. haha But I doubt it'll have anything to do with roses or flowers at all. The concept of roses relating to love is way too similar to Red too theme wise anyway and she said it'd be different.

its possible. she probably know by now during the Speak Now era that her album would be called Red since she reportetly recorded the song in December.

I'm glad it isn't called roses or something that has to do with roses. I'm not sure if you could make some really good title with that. And I'm glad that it's confirmed. It gmakes me wonder about the new CD for next year. If they hadn't said anything or maybe confirmed that it would be about roses (which they probably would never confirm) that it wasn't that exciting anymore and I wouldn't look that much forward to it if we now already knew what it was about.

Yeah, when he said he didn't think it would be the title the person who asked said "Good because that's a pretty sh*tty title tbh" or something like that and he agreed so I don't think it was ever going to be anything like that or that there was even a song like that because then I hope he wouldn't say that. haha But she could still change her mind from what she's thinking now.

It does seem to be having something with roses, though. Both Abigail and Hailee Steinfeld changed their twitter backgrounds to roses after spending NYE with her... So it's either a hint or a red herring, haha.

Maybe she found out that we think it's about roses and she's screwing with us.

WHY DO YOU HAVE A ROSE AS YOUR BIO?! DOES IT HAVE TO DO WITH TAYLOR'S NEXT ALBUM?! And other people were like because she wanted to put it there. haha

I don't thik the album has to do with roses. :'D Probably they changed it to get people a little bit crazy and suspicious about the whole tose theme :'D

how do you know Harry called her a rose??

I'm not positive but I've heard from a bunch of places that it was his nickname for her

Well maybe it has to do something with roses than, but like you said, I also do not believe that it will be the title.
It's a lot of coincidences, but the pictures could just be to tease us. I don't know what to believe anymore :'D
